Minnesota Mediation

Resolving Conflicts Through the Process of Mediation

Like collaborative law, mediation is a collaborative, rather than adversarial approach to problem-solving. A mediator is a neutral facilitator aiding both parties to reach comprehensive and enduring agreements. The parties may or may not have attorneys representing them during the mediation process.

Do not let your divorce become a contentious case where a judge is making key decisions related to your future and the future of your children. We can help mediate your marital dissolution. Contact us at 952-236-4072 or 877-288-8421.

How Does the Mediation Process Work?

As a mediator, Linda creates a safe and neutral environment where the parties are free to talk. She assists the parties with identifying their respective needs and priorities. A process for information gathering, including use of neutral experts, if necessary, is agreed upon. Linda then works with the parties to generate a wide range of options and possible solutions to disputed issues, and she facilitates a discussion about the pros and cons of each. She is skilled at using evaluative as well as facilitative techniques to bring about agreement.

Throughout the mediation process Linda monitors the dynamics between the parties to ensure that each is empowered to move forward at each stage of the process.

Experienced Mediator Focused On Positive Resolutions

Attorney Linda K. Wray is an experienced mediator with extensive training in mediation, collaborative law and conflict resolution more generally. She is skilled at assisting clients with identifying the real issues in dispute, finding common ground, focusing on positive resolutions and coming to agreement.

The law office of Linda K. Wray is designed to facilitate mediation. We have the ideal setting for clients, attorneys and any needed outside experts. Linda uses the firm's large conference room with a 65" computer monitor on the wall to mediate with clients who are able to work together. Where parties work better if separated, Linda mediates in a caucus style, providing parties with separate rooms. In either case, there is plenty of space to include attorneys and experts as needed.
